Back to the basics! In this workshop we will go through the process of mordanting silk scarves and dyeing them in a dye bath. You’ll use flowers from my dye garden to make the dye bath! I get many questions from folks who want to start dyeing with plants, but get hung up on the mordanting process. Admittedly, getting out the grams scale, masking up, following a recipe, and making a mordant solution can be intimidating – until someone can walk you through it! All materials are provided.
